2026 Wattys Shortlist - Wildcard

2026 Wattys Shortlist - Wildcard

I still can’t believe it; TEARS IN THE RAIN has made it to the Wattys 2026 Shortlist. Being selected is an immense honor, and even if others see it as small, for me it is already monumental. Every time I read the email from the Wattpad Team, I find myself in tears. I’ve read it over and over, just to make sure I wasn’t mistaken about what I was seeing.

From a young age, writing and creating fictional worlds have been my passion. As the eldest in my family, losing my father early on meant facing hardships that shaped me deeply. Writing became my refuge, my escape, and ultimately, my healing. It has mended the wounds of my personality and given me strength to keep moving forward.

Thank you, Wattpad (WattysPH), and to everyone on your team, for recognizing this story (Tears in the Rain) that is closest to my heart.

To my readers, followers, and even my silent supporters; this victory is yours as much as it is mine. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for walking with me on this journey. 🙇🏾‍♀️💙

THANK YOU, LORD! 🙏✨♥
